I love California, and I will always be a West Coast girl! The ample amount of sun you usually get combined with the West Coast breeze, makes it hard for me to leave this state. (Side note, I’ve always wanted to live in New York and experience the real city life though) I am a big advocate for traveling! My boyfriend, a conservative, sheltered individual, never really understood why traveling is such a big part of my life. Since we’ve been together, he started catching the travel bug like I did. I used to spend my days in class reading articles of traveling locations and how traveling can impact your overall health and outlook on life. I love to travel, but for the most part, they are usually out of the country, which made me realized that I haven’t really explored all the wonderful parts of California. When my friend told me she wanted to take a road trip to Napa Valley for her Bachelorette party, I was excited to use this trip to venture to new places I usually don’t stop by on my way up to the Bay area.
Our first stop was Hearst Castle. It’s a famous castle on top of a hill overlooking the mountains and ocean that has been under construction for over 30 years. This place is seriously breathtaking and a must-stop!

We went to our wine tasting destination at Domaine Carneros, and it was absolutely gorgeous!

I’ve been wanting to stop by Big Sur for the longest time, and that happened to be our last stop on the way back. Unfortunately, it started sprinkling and the closest we got was to the bridge before figuring out Pfeiffer Beach was closed. The drive along the coast was still spectacular, and it’s definitely a stop next time!
I’m so glad I had this opportunity to explore the best part about living on the West Coast, before possibly moving to another location. It was such a great trip to getaway with the girls, and to bond during our loonggg car ride!
